Martin’s frontrunner story

There is no challenge too tough if it helps you travel the world.

The window rolled down, the warm wind on his face and in front of him was an unfamiliar road in Eastern Europe, somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Just him, his girlfriend and the bus. Driven by this vision, Martin bought an old Mercedes 407d and began to convert it in 2020.

Without much know-how, but with a great dose of appreciation for the old, he transformed his „frank car,“ as he calls it, into his second home. But the journey to the first big trip was long. It took him almost two years, and Martin began immersing himself in new subjects over and over again, facing new challenges and setbacks, and putting up with unforeseen expenses. During the difficult phases of the project, what kept him going was humour, optimism, and anticipation of the opportunities that would eventually open up for him to travel the world.

After two years, Martin’s ambition paid off. He is at the wheel of his bus, ready to explore the world with his treasured vehicle, “which has experienced far too little so far”.

As Product Manager ESG at Alasco, Martin had to and still continues to learn new things and understand them. He works with the team to find clever solutions for our customers, and thus faces similar challenges to the ones experienced with the conversion of his bus. Just like when he travels, he enjoys a lot of freedom on the job. His work at Alasco is flexible and constantly changing. There is no routine and Martin and his team have a lot of freedom in how they achieve their goals.
